The PC head-end is loaded with lighting management software which allows powerful management & monitoring of the lighting installation.

The PC connects to the LonWorks network or building Ethernet and hosts the LNS database which stores the operational information for the complete system: the distributed intelligence architecture of the system means that the database is also spread across all the lighting control modules and devices on the network.

A networking capability allows access to the system software from any licenced client PC on the IT network: personnel in various locations and with different responsibilities (for example Facilities Management, Maintenance and Security) can log onto the system with the features available to them dependent upon their password access level.

Remote operation via the Internet or Intranet is also available while system alarms and information can be relayed to portable devices such as mobile phones and PDAs.
