Residential buildings contain extensive core and circulation areas which consume large amounts of energy yet are only intermittently occupied outside the morning and evening “rush hours”.

Delmatic offer systems which optimise lighting levels within circulation spaces to balance aesthetic and decorative effect with sustainable energy use. Lights are subtly dimmed at programmed times to reduce energy consumption with the extent of dimming related to the time of day and, where applicable, the extent of daylight while presence detection can be used to increase lighting to full level in the event of out-of-hours movement.
