Routers divide the building-wide system into logical sections and optimize the high-speed routing of data across the network between the PC head-end and the Lighting Control Modules.  

Lon Router

The Lon Router connects to both the vertical Lon and horizontal Lon network buscables and optimizes the high-speed routing of bidirectional data between the PC head-end and the lighting control modules & system devices.

The Lon Router provides a point for configuring & testing the system operation. An integral LCD screen with rotary selection controls allows the lighting installation, hardware operation and system configuration to be tested, verified and monitored. Secure password-protected access allows master control of lighting as well as initiation of emergency lighting testing routines.

The Lon Router can connect to up to 120 lighting control modules & devices and may be configured with software-programmable on-board timing schedules or equipped with a digital time controller for stand-alone operation.

IP Router

The IP Router is typically used where the building utilises a shared Ethernet or TCP/IP backbone for building services communication and enables system commands to be transmitted across the IT network.

The IP Router connects to both the IT network and the horizontal Lon network, translating messages between Lon and IP protocols and optimizing the high-speed routing of bidirectional data between the PC head-end and the lighting control modules across the two communication networks.
