Advice on application of systems to a project Delmatic are able to offer their experience and expertise to the client and his design team in the best-practice application of a lighting management system. From experience on other projects and with detailed knowledge of current and emerging technologies that would benefit the project, Delmatic are able to discuss with the project team the various approaches that could be used (and their respective features/benefits) so that an informed decision may be taken by the design team. Provision of case studies for similar projects Each building is unique yet many projects face similar challenges in terms of installation, achieving flexibility within the parameters of the building and lighting design. Delmatic are able to draw from a large number of case studies to illustrate how such challenges have been addressed on other projects. System design to meet project requirement Clients and their design teams have specific requirements which may be achieved in a number of ways. Delmatic are able to advise on the various options so that the best solution may be adopted taking all project factors into account. Preparation of system specifications and drawings It is a challenge to produce a tight specification which does not include ambiguities that can be exploited at tender stage and Delmatic are able to assist in the preparation of project-specific specifications as well as the creation of detailed project-specific schematic wiring diagrams and layouts. Supply of system hardware and software Delmatic supply the project hardware to the installing contractor in accordance with the project programme as well as providing powerful management and monitoring software. Configuration of system database Delmatic create the project database which contains the virtual wiring links between switches, presence detectors etc and the light fittings. The complete database is loaded onto the head-end PC and is also disseminated across the distributed intelligence modules such that local intelligence is stored within each control module. Creation of project animated graphics Each project is unique and Delmatic create project-specific graphical screens which detail the building and partition layout for each floor as well as the active -status feedback lighting layout. Project management of system A successful project results from a combination of appropriate and reliable hardware and software and accurate installation. Delmatic project managers coordinate every stage of the project from delivery, through pre-installation training of the contractor’s installation team, scheduling commissioning of the installed system and issuing certificates and project documentation upon successful completion of the project. On-site testing and commissioning Delmatic employ a team of full-time commissioning engineers who carry out thorough testing and commissioning of the system to ensure the installed hardware and software operate correctly in accordance with the specified requirements. Client training The Delmatic system is designed for ease of operation, management and maintenance by clients and their in-house facilities management personnel. Client training covers complete hardware and software operation as well as fault-diagnosis and trouble-shooting routines. The software includes full diagnostics for ease of maintenance and Delmatic are able to remotely monitor the entire system via the internet. Lifetime system support and maintenance Delmatic systems are designed for longevity of life and to provide reliable operation over many years, evidenced by systems installed some thirty years ago still in full working order. Delmatic offer various levels of system support and maintenance to clients ranging from scheduled system heath-checks to a complete system management package which includes carrying out all configuration changes to accord with layout changes, optimising operational parameters to maximise energy efficiency etc. |
