Delmatic lighting management systems transform physical lighting installations into virtual networks, managed and monitored through powerful graphical software, and integrating seamlessly with other services to optimise building performance. Systems offer leading-edge hardware and software and incorporate the open standard system standards of Lon and Dali.
Luminaires (light fittings) are connected to Lighting Control Modules which switch or dim lighting. In office areas where flexible control is required, individual luminaires are typically plugged into Metro One Ten ceiling-mounted modules or individually controlled by DELi modules communicating along a shared Dali bus, while in other more fixed areas such as core areas and lobbies, a group of luminaires or individual circuits are wired back to an output of a multi-circuit control module located within the electrical riser such as the Metro Four Four or Metro Twelve Twelve modules. Each output is uniquely addressed, individually switched or dimmed through Dali digital, DSI digital, analogue, DMX or phase-control dimming, and each local control device is assigned a specific identification. Lighting switching and dimming arrangements are structured through Virtual Wiring graphical software and any changes associated with churn are achieved by “rewiring” through software and without access or disruption to the lighting installation. Local control devices include wall switches, presence detectors, photocells, multisensors (which combine presence detection and photocells) hand-held transmitters and multi-function desktop controllers. Local control devices act as inputs to the system and upon operation of a device the system switches or dims lighting which has been configured through software to respond to that particular local control device. Local control devices connect to inputs at the Lighting Control Modules or directly to the Lon or Dali buswires. Telephone and PC web-browser control enables lighting to be switched and dimmed without the need to install local control devices: an interface between the lighting management system and the telephone system or IT network transfers user commands into instructions to switch or dim lighting in the relevant area. Scene-setting controls enable lighting scenes to be achieved within reception, lobby and meeting-room areas. |
